Stephen is a second-generation heating engineer with over 25 years of experience in the industry. He began his career by spending more than five years training and completing an apprenticeship with his father, the first in the family to work in the heating industry. This strong foundation laid the groundwork for his extensive knowledge and practical expertise across the gas industry.
As our Head Gas and LPG Engineer, Stephen is passionate about delivering the highest standards in boiler repairs and installations. His meticulous approach and in-depth understanding of domestic systems ensure reliable, efficient results for every customer. Stephen’s philosophy is simple: do the job perfectly the first time, every time.
Outside of work, Stephen enjoys exploring the stunning landscapes of the North Yorkshire Moors with his dog, making the most of the great outdoors in his spare time.
Matthew represents the third generation of his family to pursue a career in gas engineering. The son of Stephen and Debbie, he joined the family business straight from secondary school and completed a comprehensive five-year apprenticeship under Stephen’s guidance, qualifying as both a gas engineer and plumber. It’s fair to say that Matthew’s path was set from an early age—Stephen jokingly recalls teaching him how to change a thermostatic radiator valve at just four days old in their own home. This early exposure laid the foundation for Matthew’s strong technical skills and deep understanding of the trade. Matthew shares Stephen’s commitment to excellence, believing in the philosophy of delivering high standards and getting the job done right the first time, every time. Outside of work, he enjoys spending his time maintaining and working on his car—a true passion that mirrors his attention to detail and hands-on approach.
